George Welton

George Welton

Chief Executive Officer

George was named chief executive officer of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Altamonte Springs in December 2017. George came to HealthSouth Altamonte Springs having previously served as the CEO of specialty hospitals for medically complex and chronically ill patients in the Denver, Colorado area. Altogether, he has approximately 25 years’ experience in healthcare services management. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Susquehanna University and master’s degrees in healthcare administration and policy analysis from Tulane University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a certified Project Management Professional, and a Fellow with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.

Eliam Fuentes-Tirado, M.D.

Eliam Fuentes-Tirado, M.D., DABPMR

Medical Director

Dr. Fuentes has worked at HealthSouth Altamonte Springs since its opening in 2014. He earned his medical degree at Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Case Western Reserve University and MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio, in Cleveland. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and serves as an assistant professor at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Fuentes provides comprehensive rehabilitative care for stroke, movement disorders, and neuromuscular pathologies, among other medical conditions. He has privileges at other hospitals in the community where he enjoys sharing the field of rehabilitation.

Ashely Collier

Ashley Collier, RHIA

Director of Health Information Management

Ashley is the director of health information management services and the HIPAA privacy officer at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Altamonte Springs. She has more than nine years of experience in the health information management field including the OB/GYN and acute inpatient rehabilitation settings. She joined HealthSouth in 2010 having worked at HealthSouth Treasure Coast Rehabilitation Hospital in Vero Beach, Fla. and at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital at Martin Health in Stuart, Fla.  Ashley is a graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a bachelor’s degree in health information management. She is an active member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and Central Florida Health Information Management Association (CFHIMA). Her volunteer activities include Seminole State College School of Health Information Technology Advisory Committee member. 

Matt Dieter

Matthew Dieter, Pharm.D

Director of Pharmacy

Matthew Dieter is the director of pharmacy for HealthSouth Altamonte Springs. He has been with HealthSouth since 2006 and has more than 20 years of experience in the hospital pharmacy setting; including inpatient rehabilitation, long-term acute care and small community hospitals in Orlando, Gainesville, and southwest Florida. His professional interests and specialties include the areas of infectious disease, anticoagulation and nutrition. Matt earned his doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. He is a member of FSHP (Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists).  Matt's goal is to provide comprehensive, quality care to the patients he serves.

Evelyn Luciano

Evelyn Luciano

Director of Case Management

Evelyn joined our HealthSouth Altamonte Springs team in June of 2016 with case management experience in the insurance industry working with complex chronically ill patients. Her experience ranges from nursing in one of the largest teaching hospital systems in New York City to management in behavioral health for the underserved. Evelyn is a dual licensed bilingual professional who holds a master’s degree in counseling from Rollins College and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Puerto Rico. Evelyn is a certified case manager and brings to HealthSouth her leadership skills and compassion for our patients providing services with diligence and respect.

Sarah Metzler

Director of Human Resources

Sarah brings more than 12 years of human resources experience to her position at HealthSouth Altamonte Springs.  Prior to joining HealthSouth in October 2016, she served in various human resources leadership roles within the hospitality industry and department of defense contracting.  Sarah oversees all areas of human resources, such as recruitment, retention, regulatory compliance, compensation and benefits.  She is an active member of SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) and holds her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification. 

Samuel Minehart

Controller

Sam is the controller for HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Altamonte Springs. He has more than 20 years of experience in financial and business operations within the healthcare industry, most recently for the nation’s leader in retail healthcare services. Prior to that, he worked as a controller for HealthSouth Western Hills Rehabilitation Hospital in Parkersburg, W.Va. 

Melanie Mollard

Melanie Mollard

Director of Therapy Operations

Melanie is a board certified occupational therapist and the current director of therapy operations.  Melanie is a former graduate of California University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in biology and The University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehab Sciences where she received her Master of Occupational Therapy.  During Melanie’s 14-year tenure as a clinician, she has worked and held leadership positions in a variety of settings including acute care, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, outpatient, home health and early intervention.  Melanie is also a certified clinical instructor through the Florida Occupational Therapy Education Consortium and has taught for several occupational therapy assistant programs.  Melanie’s main areas of interest are patients diagnosed with neurologic disorders and visual impairments. Prior to joining the team at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Altamonte Springs in November of 2016, Melanie was the therapy supervisor at Lakeland Regional Health. 

Stephanie Morrell

Stephanie Morrell RN-BC, MSN/LM, CRRN

Chief Nursing Officer

Stephanie is the chief nursing officer (CNO) at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Altamonte Springs. Stephanie has 24 years of experience in healthcare; including an in-depth clinical background in cardiology, orthopedics, med-surg, and pediatrics. She has spent the past 16 years in hospital administration and served as the CNO of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Southwest Virginia prior to moving to Florida. Stephanie has a certification in medical surgical nursing through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nurse. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing through East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee, and Master of Science in nursing with a management leadership focus from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah.

David Rosenstein

David Rosenstein

Business Development Director

David has been the director of marketing operations at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Altamonte Springs since early 2017.  He joined the team holding more than 15 years of marketing experience, with the last 10 years being in the medical industry.  David prides himself on helping the team educate the community about the level of care and personal touch provided for patients at HealthSouth of Altamonte Springs. 

Candy Schoenle

Candy Schoenle

Administrative Supervisor

Candy is the administrative supervisor and medical staff coordinator at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Altamonte Springs. Candy joined HealthSouth in April, 2014. Her background consists of over 26 years experience in office management, events planning and fundraising. Candy has been a notary republic for over 20 years and was an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Her volunteer activities include serving as president of the Lilac TWIG Association.

Tom Schoenle

Tom Schoenle

Director of Plant Operations

Tom Schoenle, director of plant operations, joined HealthSouth in April of 2013, opening the new HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital at Martin Health in Stuart, Fla. He transferred in May 2014 to Altamonte Springs to open this hospital. Tom has more than 24 years’ experience in plant operations in an acute care hospital as well as seven years experience working in a geriatric psychological hospital in New York. Tom graduated from Erie Community College in Buffalo N.Y. with an Associate of Science in building management and maintenance. Tom is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers as well as a member of the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association.
