HealthSouth Altamonte Springs Raises Awareness with Walk About Brain Injury

On Saturday, March 12, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Altamonte Springs joins the Brain Injury Association of Florida’s (BIAF) journey to raise awareness for traumatic brain injury through a Walk About Brain Injury event at Lake Lotus Park located at 1153 Lake Lotus Park Rd. Walk About Brain Injury is a fun-filled walk around a 1.2 mile mapped out course. Participants can visit vendor tables that provide educational information and resources on sports and concussion, prevention and resources in their community. Children can also meet BIAF’s mascot Helmutt® and learn about safety to prevent brain injuries.
Participation in Walk About Brain Injury is at no cost to participants, but donations are being accepted with proceeds benefitting BIAF. Check-in on March 12 is at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10:30 a.m.
